Villa Location
This villa is located within a 17th century mansion in the hills near the Tuscany/Umbria border. The estate is accessible by a remote control gated entrance. There are two wings in the mansion, one wing comprising the villa and the other occupied by the owner. The villa has its own entrance and guests have exclusive use of the pool. From the villa, you can walk to the nearby town, about 1/4 mile, where you'll find a grocery store and bus stop that will take you to Sansepolcro.
Local Area
There are plenty of outdoor activities nearby. You can explore the area by hiking the hills surrounding Sansepolcro, which will reward you with beautiful scenery and nature. At a nearby lake, you can enjoy some water sports, such as sailing and windsurfing. Also nearby are a golf course and a horse riding school. The owner would be happy to give you more details on these activities. You can also take a short ride to Sansepolcro, the birthplace of the famous Italian Renaissance painter, Piero della Francesca. Visit the cathedral and museum to admire some of his work. You can also enjoy many of the wonderful restaurants in Sansepolcro for a delicious meal.

Arezzo, the setting for Roberto Benigni's 1999 Oscar-winning film La Vita è Bella (Life Is Beautiful) is a short drive away. While there be sure to visit the Church of San Francesco to see the famous "Legend of the True Cross" by Piero della Francesca. (about 24 miles).

Cortona, site of the movie "Under the Tuscan Sun" is about 40 miles away. Also stop at Lake Trasimeno when visiting Cortona.

Perugia is well worth a visit for its Perugina chocolate and much more. (about 48 miles).

Visit the beautiful historic town of Spoleto. If you're lucky enough to be there in July be sure to get tickets for some of the performances of the Festival dei Due Mondi. (about 75 miles).
