Villa Fabbricciano
(sleeps 8 people, garden)

Villa Location
The villa is just out of town in a small street with a couple of other villas, surrounded by fields. The atmosphere is relaxed and country-like and the lavish garden contrasts with the colors of the surrounding fields, yellow, brown or pale green according to the season. You access the property through a nice iron gate, for which you'll have a remote control, and a cypress lined entry road will lead you to the villa. A pleasant 12 minute walk will take you to the walls of the ancient town.

Local Area
Colle Val d'Elsa is a fascinating town with medieval origins. The ancient fortified town of Colle Alta sits on top of the hill overlooking Colle Bassa. Colle Alta is similar to Siena in feel, but smaller, and you can easily explore it on foot. The little streets between the medieval palazzi are filled with pretty shops and cafes and the views are amazing! Palazzo Pretorio houses the Archeological Museum, with Etruscan remains, and there is a baroque Duomo. Arnolfo di Cambio, a great architect and sculptor of the 14th century, was born here and you can still see his birthhouse. Besides sightseeing you can practice several sports as Colle Val d'Elsa has 2 public pools, indoors and outdoors, bike rental facilities, a golf club and a sports club for tennis and skating.

Owner Recommended Restaurant
L'antica Trattoria and Lo Scudo, in Colle Alta.
