Villa Location
Gli Archi is located in a small village close to Spoleto. The property is accessed through a gate leading into a charming, well kept courtyard, dotted with flower pots. In this beautiful setting, a well is enclosed by the stone buildings and the arches that give the name to the property. Grande and Piccolo share the garden with the owners, who live on the property, but each unit also has a private outdoor area for dining al fresco. Occasionally the owners give the lucky guests delicious produce from their organic vegetable garden!

Local Area
The property is in a small village, with a church (next door to the property), a few stores and 2 good restaurants. Spoleto is about 7 miles away; here you can visit the Duomo, the Roman theater, the castle - la Rocca - and wander the tiny streets with specialty stores. Spoleto has a rich cultural life and there are numerous festivals and concerts during the summer.

Besides the two restaurants within walking distance, there are many others nearby and excellent ones in Spoleto. The owners will be happy to direct you.

Day Trips
	Shop in Deruta for its famous pottery (about 40 miles).
	Be sure to visit Orvieto, for its beautiful Duomo and its white wine (about 60 miles).
	Perugia is well worth a visit for its Perugina chocolate and much more (about 40 miles).
	In Assisi, which is about an hour away, you can visit the church of Saint Francis, with its famous frescoes by Giotto (about 30 miles).
	The charming town of Spello, near Assisi, is where every year inhabitants host the Infiorata -- a celebration of the Corpus Domini in which the locals cover the ancient Roman roads with flower petals, making elaborate designs (about 22 miles).
	Todi has charming piazzas and narrow medieval streets that invite you to stroll. There are numerous palazzi and churches. Be sure to visit Bramante's Santa Maria della Consolazione (about 26 miles).
