My fiance and I drove from Tuscany to the Amalfi Coast on the 9th of June.

After a treacherous drive through back roads, autostrada and cliffsides we made it to Positano where we were welcomed by everyone from the parking garage attendant, cleaning lady and owner of the Vesta Italian Villas apartment.

We had purchased quite a few things and had a few heavy bags to carry up MANY stairs in this hilly town which was not a burden since the owner herself shlepped one of the largest bags up the stairs before I even closed the trunk!

We enjoyed sightseeing on the coast but, what I tell people the most is how relaxing our apartment was and that we were so glad to have booked it in the middle of the itinerary.

Our next stop was Pompei and Rome and all we did was walk and stand in lines so, thinking back to our relaxing Positano stop was our Oasis....

The apartment was spotless and set up on a hill that overlooked the coast.

There was a terrace where we spent most of our time, eating of course. After being unable to do anything but eat in restaurants and grab panini and pizza on the fly all week in Venice and Tuscany, we were finally able to cook meals in the well equipped kitchen.

I look forward to our next trip to Italy which I hope to include friends/family so, we can get one of the large villas in the countryside.

Gazie per tutto!
